In this article we discussed various issues related to the foreign policy of the Princes of Ryazan.
Particular attention is paid to the reasons struggle between the princes in the 90-ies. XIII - the first decade
of XIVcenturies, The positions of the Horde and the princes of Moscow. For the first time after D.I.
Ilovaisky draw attention to the testimony of the First Novgorod Chronicle under 1333, indicating the
existence of some form of dependence of the Ryazan princes from the Grand Duke Vladimir. A
hypothesis about the causes of fratricide in 1339.
