This may be because of shopping opportunities, nightlife, entertainment, or their place in history. If you are lucky enough to see all these streets firsthand, then you are a real lucky person! The theme "Famous streets of the world"was suggested as one of the topics of individual projects in English. I am interested in this topic, because I can learn a lot from it, and also get acquainted with the streets of other countries. Find out the history of the origin of these streets. Perhaps some of them were named after a famous person, or the street was named after its beauty and uniqueness. This topic can also introduce you to the sights of other countries. This work is relevant since modern people have the opportunity to travel around the world, and knowledge of the sights of the visited country will allow them to immediately determine the route. Goals of the work: Think about which streets from a particular country can be called famous, find out why they became famous and how they got their name. Famous streets of France 1.1. The Champs-Elysees is a landmark street for the Parisians, where they come on days of national jubilation or grief. For the whole world, the Champs-Elysees is a symbol of luxury and wealth, one of the most fashionable streets in the world. This is one of those places in the French capital that every tourist should visit in order to say with good reason: "Yes, I have seen Paris!» 1.2. Richelieu Street. Cardinal Richelieu played an important role in the history of France, so one of the main streets of Paris was named after him. After passing through it, tourists will be able to learn the smallest details about the Royal Palace – the Palais Royal, walk through the delightful Park, look into the world of books of the National library. Croissant can already be attributed to the attractions of France, it is here that the oldest bakery is located, where it was first prepared. A delicious snack is provided! 1.3. The Red light Street. An example is the Bois de Boulogne, where elderly people, moms and nannies with children meet in the daytime, couples in love relax in the evening, and at night there is an atmosphere of debauchery and exhibitionism. Famous streets of the USA 2.1.Broadway is not only the main street of new York, and possibly the entire United States, it is also a record – holder among streets in length. The road runs through the entire city and goes further North, passing small towns, it stretches all the way to Albany. But even in new York, Broadway is striking in its length, and there are few people who will walk at least half of the street in one day. 2.2. The center of Hollywood is its famous Walk of Fame. Otherwise, the street has nothing remarkable.[2] Chapter 4. Famous streets of Russia 4.1. Old Arbat One of the most ancient streets, which is more than 500 years old. Previously, only wooden buildings were built here, which were regularly destroyed by fire. Only in the 19th century it began to acquire the features that have come down to our time. There are more and more legends and incredible stories about this part of the city. On the Arbat there are memorial apartments of A. S. Pushkin, M. Lermontov, M. Tsvetaeva. 4.2. Tverskaya Street Also one of the oldest streets. Its formation dates back to the 14th century. At one time, it was the most prestigious street where Russian nobility and rich merchants lived. The best shopping malls and Inns were located on it. It was used by Imperial corteges traveling from Saint Petersburg to Moscow. Therefore, it has Triumphal arches, symbols of victory and prosperity of the reigning Emperor. 4.3. Tsvetnoy Boulevard 7 A favorite place for Muscovites and guests of the capital to make a date, and just for small walks. Until the middle of the 19th century, it was called Trubny Boulevard, but it was renamed Tsvetnoy Boulevard, because of the flower market located in this place.
