Цели и задачи мероприятия:
Воспитательная:

воспитывать инициативность и активность,

воспитывать культуру общения, нравственное отношение к своей стране, стране
изучаемого языка

воспитывать настойчивость и упорство в достижении цели,

воспитывать чувство уважения друг к другу, умение работать в группе.
Развивающая:

развивать творческие способности учащихся,

развивать коммуникативно-игровые способности у учащихся,

развивать языковую догадку, смекалку.
Образовательная:

практиковать умение составлять мини-высказывание по определенной тематике,

практиковать умение слушать, читать и говорить об услышанном или
прочитанном.

Ход игры
I. Вступительное слово учителя:
Good afternoon, dear teachers and students. I am glad to see you. Welcome to our game “The
Weak Link”. I sure you like to watch this game on TV and know its rules. But I have changed
them a little. The weak link won’t be chosen by the members of the team, it will be chosen by
our judges. I want this game to be fair. The theme of the game is “English – Speaking
Countries”. Our rounds will be English and Russian in turn. Taking part in the game are
tenth-and eleventh-form students. Let them introduce themselves.
