Hello everyone. In my presentation I will talk about orbits To begin with, I'll tell you the types of orbits. Then I will talk about some of the characteristics of these orbits. I’ll try to answer all of your questions after the presentation. 1. First of all, all orbits can be divided by inclination There are three types of orbits The first orbit is opposite the equator. Satellites in this orbit have coverage only relative to the equator. The next orbit is called polar The satellites rotate in a vertical trajectory relative to the earth. Since the earth rotates, the satellite covers all earth area. The last inclined orbit allows to satellites corers latitudes in Northern and Southern hemispheres. 2. Orbits also differ in shape. orbit shapes are of two types: round and elliptical An elliptical orbit has a close range, and a far range - apogee and perigee. 3. Orbit vary in height. Low Earth orbit from hundreds of kilometers to two thousand kilometers altitude Medium Earth Orbit from five thousand kilometers to ten thousand kilometers altitude Geostationary orbit is at a distance of thirty-five thousand eight hundred kilometers from the earth. Orbital period of satellite equal to rotational period of Earth Thank you for your attention Do you have any questions?
