In fact, the color of this rhino is dark, slate-gray, only slightly lighter than that of black. Lifespan Lifespan of white rhino is 40-50 years. How many of these animals are living now? Only a few specimens remained in captivity in zoos in the USA and the Czech Republic, but they are too few to save the subspecies from extinction. Why they are dying out? People hunt and kill them because of the long horns. In North Africa and the Middle East, people make jewelry from horns.
