Prepositional Case I
• When we talk about where something or somebody is
located/lives, we use prepositions “на” (on, at) and “в”
(in) and the noun in the so-called prepositional case.
(Prepositional Case is one of the six cases in the
Russian language. Later we’ll talk about them more)
• Examples:
Город (a city)-в городе (in a city)
Дом (a house)-в доме (in a house)

Verb “Жить” (to Live)
• Verbs in Russian change not only according to the
tense of the sentence but also according to the subject
of the sentence. Please memorize the forms of the
verb “жить”. “Жив” is the stem of the verb and
different endings are added.
