Lk. 23:39
39 ¶ И один из злодеев, которые были повешены, ругал его, говоря, Если ты Христос, спаси
себя и нас.
40 Но другой, отвечая, укорял его, говоря, Ты не боишься Бога, так как ты в том же самом
осуждении?
41 И мы действительно [осуждены] справедливо; ибо должное воздаяние за дела наши
получаем: но этот человек ничего плохого не сделал.
42 И он сказал Иисусу, Господь, вспомни меня, когда придешь в царство твое.
43 И Иисус сказал ему, Истинно говорю тебе, Сегодня будешь со мной в раю.

I. LOST THIEF THIEF
1. Both were guilty (v. 39) “…И один из злодеев…”
i. We are all guilty of something.
ii. He was so close to being saved. He heard the other speak of the Lord, “Lord,” “Christ,” “God.”
2. You know something about Jesus Christ (v. 39)
И один из злодеев, которые были повешены, ругал его, говоря, Если ты Христос, спаси
себя и нас.
i. You need to look into some things that you’ve heard about.
ILL. Mohammed made some claims. Do you know if they are true or not.
ILL. “How was I supposed to know!”
3. Nobody likes pain.
И один из злодеев, которые были повешены, ругал его, говоря, Если ты Христос, спаси себя и
нас.
i. He wasn’t concerned about dying and going to hell. He was concerned about being saved from
the PAIN.
ILL. No man will ever “take” the pain in hell.
ILL. Men will do things to avoid pain.
ILL. People that fell out of the Merchandise buildings to avoid the fire.
И бросят их в печь огненную: там будет плач и скрежет зубов.
II. THE SAVED THIEF (v. 40) Но другой, отвечая, укорял его, говоря, Ты не боишься
Бога, так как ты в том же самом осуждении?
1. He was still interested in spiritual matters.
i. You can find out about the truth.
ii. He was looking for some truth. He found it.
Cf. Сказал глупец в сердце своем, Нет Бога.
¶ Когда Иисус пришел в пределы Цезарии Филипповой, он спросил учеников своих,
говоря, За кого люди почитают меня, Сына человеческого?
2. The saved thief admits his guilt.
i. That’s the hard part.
ii. That doesn’t mean we ought to stop admitting our guilt.
3. Every true believer ought to compare himself to Jesus Christ.
(v. 41) И мы действительно [осуждены] справедливо; ибо должное воздаяние за дела
наши получаем: но этот человек ничего плохого не сделал.

If a man wants to die in his sins, that’s his business.
4. Every true believer recognizes Jesus Christ as the Lord.
i. Is He leading your life? “Lord!”

5. The heart of the saved thief trusts the Lord
(v. 42) И он сказал Иисусу, Господь, вспомни меня, когда придешь в царство твое.
i. despite the unbelief of the other thief.
ii. despite the unbelief of most of the crowd
6. Today you can have more truth.
43 И Иисус сказал ему, Истинно говорю тебе, Сегодня будешь со мной в раю.
For sinners –
i. Today you can know the Lord Jesus Christ.
