и сожгли их перед всеми: и подсчитали цену их, и оказалось пятьдесят тысяч серебряников.
Notice “скитающихся иудеев” (v. 13), “экзорцистов” (v. 13), Павел проповедует.(v. 13), “злой
дух” (v. 15), satanic activity (v. 16), они бежали из того дома нагие и раненные. (v. 16), и напал
страх на всех их, (v. 17), и возвеличеваемо было имя Господа Иисуса. (v. 17),
Confession and giving up their sins (v. 18),
v. 19 Many of them also “which used curious arts”
The phrase “…which used curious arts” sounds like it was a usage of “drugs” – “which used…”
The warning of this kind of ‘drug USAGE’ is mentioned in Deut. 18:9-14, (6, 6, 6).
¶ Когда ты войдешь в землю, которую ГОСПОДЬ Бог твой дает тебе, ты не учись делать

10 Не будет находиться среди вас никто, кто заставляет сына своего или дочь свою

Acts 19:10 you read “or that USETH divination.”
Again the word “use” is mentioned as if it is a drug, as in a “drug-USER.”
The other list is mentioned in Lev. 18 (again 6, 6, 6) where is mentioned every kind of fornication.
Now these people “which USED curious arts BROUGHT THEIR BOOKS…”
So now we find out that those that USED these curious arts were using BOOKS.
It would have to do with PICTURES, and various illicit texts.

Judgment was pronounced upon the arrogant and proud.
This will take place at the 2nd Advent.
Isa. 2:12-17

Next we read that all that was brought forth was BURNED (v. 19).
That is the only way to get rid of the stuff. Burn your bridges of the past.
Don’t sell the stuff to get rid of it, for money. That’s deception showing you still want to hang on to
it some way (1 Tim. 6:10).
They did that before others as a witness, “before all men.”
Then you find out how much was burned. The total was worth about $30,000.
By all the laws of inflation, it would be the modern equivalent of 6,300.000 gryven ($300.000)
worth of books.
At 63 gryven per book that would be about 10,000 books burned.
That is a lot of money for books.
But now we’re moving from BOOKS TO ELECTRONIC BOOKS.
That shows you how much money people will spend for their “addiction.”
What about all the money USED for the various industries – SPORTS, SEX, MOVIES, DRUGS
AND EDUCATION.
But when they got rid of that stuff, THEN “SO MIGHTILY GREW THE WORD OF GOD AND
PREVAILED” (v. 20).
“Curious” here has to do with burning stuff that made people “curious” about things.

They had to get rid of the stuff that was drawing them into things they should not have gotten into.
The list is endless today –
With knowledge running to and fro (Dan. 12:4)
But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many
shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.
А ты, Даниил, сокрой слова эти и запечатай книгу эту до самого конца: многие
будут носиться туда и сюда, и знание увеличится.
You have access to and endless amount of information – good and bad, that at a push of a button the
whole world can enter into your heart.
The curiosity will “get the best of you” if you let it.
There are many curious arts that will kill you.
How does Curiosity kill the cat?
I. THROUGH ADS – Advertisements are thrown at you.
i. Commercials in between games.
ii. They may be up to only 30 seconds. It didn’t take much for Eve to fall when she heard the
words from the angel of light.
1. Constant recordings are a way of brain washing.
II. THROUGH GAMES, “sport” “hot dog” is another curious art. The sport industry is another
mega industry.

III. THROUGH FACEBOOK for the most part is a waste of time. It is quite seductive.

ILL. Modern culture – Young girls are increasingly drawn towards posting seductive ‘selfies’
on Facebook.
i. Why the constant seeking of the applause of men? It is because a woman thrives on wanting
ATTENTION, “Look at me!”
ILL. The temptation to show SELF, and get the “LIKES.”
i. To build up their self-esteem.
ILL. Showing self- laying on a couch.
Showing self kissing others.
Showing self with immodest attire.
ILL. Young teenage girl wanted to show off her clothing is a seductive way. How did she know
how to do that?

ILL. “Net” and TV, or Radio “NETWORK”
This is part of the satanic “network” The world with a NET around it.
Psa. 10:9

A young lady newly married, found out how to play games over the internet with
somebody else. She ended up playing with another young man. She left her Christian husband for
another man because of the games they played together.
ILL. Time wasting practices are also in the “curious arts” category.
3. Pornography is one of the largest business in the world. Why? Because people are curious.
The whole commercial world is one BIG networking of Satan (Ezek. 28) “merchants” etc.

You get advanced revelation from the AV with the word “sport,” “sporting” mentioned 8 x’s
altogether.
4. ‘love’ for Drugs – “curious arts” (Acts 19:19)
5. ‘love’ Education – Science, Evolution, etc.

IV. CONFESSION (Acts 19:19)
This was their practice “used” (v. 19), “showed their deeds” (v. 18)
They coughed up the goods. “All 52 cards on the table.”
Confession is GOOD for the soul. (1 Jn. 1:7-9)
The answer is a LOVE CHANGE –
