The Objectives: : By the end of the lesson the students will be able to - Translate the sentences from Russian into English using Complex Object; - Say if the statements are true or false to the text “The Actors Come to Town”; - Report the extract from the text “The Actors Come to Town”; - Do a guessing quiz; - use the information and the lexis connected with theatre in guided dialogues; - Use exclamatory sentences based on the video film. New language and structure: complex object, exclamatory sentences, in the stalls; in the dress circle; in the gallery; seats; the row. Language to be revised: active vocabulary of the unit (ex. 10, 11) Materials & equipment: computer, projector, textbook, cards with language support for guided dialogues. Warming up; Look at the portrait of this famous Englishman and say if you know: - What is his name? - When and where did he live? - What did he do to earn his living? - Did he have a family? - Why did he become famous? - What monarch reigned in the country in those times? - When and where did he die? Watch the film about Stratford-upon Avon and make up exclamatory sentences on the film.
