Phonosemantic peculiarities of literary names taken from A. Yeniki’s novels are studied in the article.
The author works out phonetic meanings of names by means of A. Zhuravlyov’s theory, compares them
to heroes’ characteristics and comes to the conclusion that phonetic design of literary heroes’ names
contains information that helps to reveal an artistic character.
