SOVIET LITERATURE EVALUATIONS IN THE WORKS OF THE RUSSIAN
EMIGRANT WRITERS OF THE FIRST WAVE

The article is devoted to analyzing soviet literature evaluations given by the emigrant
writers of the first wave. In the works of the representatives of the Russian emigrants one can
trace a contraposition of the pre-Revolutionary literature and the Soviet one. The former is
evaluated positively and the latter extremely negatively.
Various ways of conveying a negative evaluation are considered in the article (evaluation
vocabulary, reinterpreted nominations, metaphors, occasionalisms etc.).
