The article is devoted to the analysis of modern studies on foreign text comprehension in psychology
of reading in order to concretize this problem in the context of reader paradigm. The author explores
traditional models of reading and «modified interactive models» as well as different ways of reading
based on purposes of a recipient. The article demonstrates various learning strategies of foreign text
study.
